Electric butterfly valve is a kind of valve that uses round butterfly plate as opening and closing member and rotates with the valve stem to open, close and adjust the fluid passage. Butterfly valve is not only simple structure, small size search engine optimization, light weight, material consumption, small installation size, and driving torque is small, easy to operate, agile, and also has excellent flow regulation and closing sealing characteristics at the same time, in the large and medium caliber, low and medium pressure in the use of the field, the butterfly valve occupies the main advantage.
Precautions for installation and use
- Storage: Store the motorized butterfly valve in a dust-free, low-humidity and well-ventilated room.
- Protective Cover: Do not remove the protective cover before installation.
- Prevent Damage: Do not press or step on the motorized butterfly valve to avoid damage or personal injury.
- Space Allowance: When installing the valve, make sure there is enough space for manual operation or removal of the outer cover.
- Protective Measures: When the actuator is in operation, the parts exposed to sunlight or rainwater need to be protected accordingly, such as the use of heat-insulating panels.
- Avoid Damage: Take measures to avoid damage from foreseeable causes (e.g. salty air, snow or freezing).
- Vibration: Avoid installing valves and actuators in areas where equipment such as pumps or engines cause vibration.
- Pipe Cleaning: Clean the connection pipes before installation to ensure that debris such as sand, dust or welding slag is removed.
- Tightening of Threads: When tightening a threaded connection valve, use a tool to tighten the valve and the adjacent end of the piping.
- Flange Valve Tightening: When installing flange valves, tighten the bolts alternately in a star sequence to ensure that the valve is properly tightened to the piping.
- Installation Facing Down: It is prohibited to install the actuator facing down.
- Flush Piping: Piping must be flushed to remove all debris.
- Rust Prevention: When using cast iron or cast steel valves, pay special attention to preventing rust, which may damage valve parts and cause malfunction.
- Circuit Connection: Connect the wiring correctly according to the circuit diagram.
- Use Terminals: Use terminals when connecting wires.
- Insulation Test: Perform two or more insulation tests after connecting the wiring to ensure insulation.
- Seal Chassis: Make sure the chassis is sealed with an O-ring or similar material to prevent dust and water from entering.
- Heater Status: Ensure that the heater is in working condition at all times to prevent the actuator from generating condensation that could lead to malfunction.
