The valve enables on/off operation and flow control by means of a rotating disc, a cost-effective solution that ensures direct operation. Designed as a lug type for quick connection to the system, it has a cast iron housing with a variety of discs and sealing materials to suit different applications. Suitable for handling liquids, slurries and gases, both hazardous and non-hazardous media, over a wide temperature range. The lower cost and smaller size of butterfly valves compared to ball valves of the same diameter and other rotary-tongue alternatives has led to a wide range of applications in liquids, steam, cryogenics, coolants, air, gases, fire protection and vacuum services and even in high-pressure, high-temperature and slurry environments.
