The DELCO Pneumatic Upward Discharge Valve is specifically designed for reactor vessels containing crystallizing or crusting media. The valve disc opens upwards into the tank, effectively breaking through any sediment or crust formed at the bottom. This "crust-breaking" action ensures smooth drainage where standard valves would be blocked.

✅Upward Opening Mechanism: The valve disc rises into the vessel upon opening. This mechanical action punches through hardened crusts or settled solids at the tank bottom, solving clogging issues that Pneumatic Downward Discharge Valves cannot handle.
✅Zero Dead Space: The valve seat is welded flush with the tank bottom contour, eliminating the "dead leg" cavity found in ball valves where material can accumulate and spoil.
✅Sediment Agitation: The lifting motion of the disc not only opens the valve but also agitates the settled slurry, promoting flow and preventing bridging during discharge.
✅Robust Sealing: Features a conical metal-to-metal or PTFE seal that ensures a tight shutoff even in the presence of abrasive crystals or polymer slurries.
✅Pneumatic Automation: Powered by a strong pneumatic cylinder or diaphragm actuator, providing the necessary thrust to lift the disc against the weight of the material column inside the tank.
