The DELCO Z-Series multi-turn electric valve actuator is an advanced, high-thrust drive unit engineered for automated opening, closing, and modulating control of linear-travel valves. It is fully compatible with both rising stem (OS&Y) and non-rising stem designs, including wedge gate valves, globe valves, diaphragm valves, plunger valves, and sluice gates. By converting continuous multi-revolution torque into linear thrust, it easily overcomes high seating friction and pipeline differential pressures. Designed for local, remote, and centralized DCS/PLC automation, the Z-Series combines a compact, lightweight footprint with low-maintenance reliability. It is widely deployed across petrochemical refineries, power generation, metallurgy, chemical processing, municipal wastewater, and irrigation utilities, offering both standard industrial execution (GB/T 24923) and certified flameproof protection (Ex d IIB/IIC, GB 3836 / GB/T 24922) for hazardous environments.

Features an open-stem bore and customizable drive sleeve to accommodate various stem thread pitches.

• Certified Flameproof & Industrial Compliance: Manufactured in strict accordance with industrial electrical actuator standards. Available in general industrial execution (GB/T 24923-2010) and heavy-duty flameproof configuration (Ex d IIB/IIC T4 per GB 3836.1-2010, GB 3836.2-2010, and GB/T 24922-2010) for explosive gas and dust environments.

• Multi-Tier Automation & System Integration: Supports local manual control, remote discrete switching, and centralized SCADA/DCS automation. Accepts passive dry contacts, fieldbus protocols, or 4-20mA / 0-10V analog signals for precise intermediate flow regulation.

• Compact, High-Torque Mechanical Design: Delivers torque ratings from 50 Nm to 3,000 Nm in an optimized, weight-reduced enclosure. High-efficiency worm gearing provides inherent self-locking to prevent backdriving caused by pipeline water hammer or line backpressure.

• Comprehensive Torque & Position Protection: Equipped with sensitive mechanical/electronic torque limit switches and travel limit switches. Automatically cuts motor power upon valve seat contact or line obstruction, preventing stem buckling, disc jamming, and gear train damage.

• Field-Ready Maintenance & Emergency Override: Features a declutchable manual handwheel (standard on models up to 300 Nm) with automatic power interlock for safe commissioning, power outages, and routine pipeline inspections.
